Au Naturel

I’ve been reading so much about parabens and other nasty ingredients in our cosmetics and it really got me thinking. I’ve always had really sensitive facial skin and now I’m wondering if my skin would be better off if I began using a more natural face clensing/mosturizing routine. Here’s what I’m using now:

  • Neutrogena Cleasner
  • Bare Escentuals Vitamin Rever Upper
  • Aveeno Skin Brightening Moisturizer w/ SPF

I’m looking for suggestions on a great natural cleanser and moisturizer for oily, acne prone skin. Any tips? Thanks!!

Have a Great Weekend!

  1. Hey…
great post. I had also the same issues and decided to switch to gentle products. Aveeno has a soap bar that is really gentle…if not, i also loove castile soap. A little bit goes a long way.
As for moisturizer, i looove coconut oil. I use 2-3 drops then voila…or sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil or jojoba oil. They’re very gentle and don’t clog the pores

  2. Hi N.

Have you looked into Juice Beauty? It’s an all natural almost all organic line from Northern California. You can get it at Whole Foods or Sephora and they have an oily skin/anti-acne line. Totally paraben, fragrance & dye free. I like alot of their stuff – especially their green apple peel.

  3. I’ll have to look into the Aveeno bar. I’m nervous about oils because I already have oily skin and I don’t want to risk clogging my pores. I’ll also check out Juice Beauty. I looked at the website and it looks promising. Thanks for the tips!

  4. Check out Miessence, They are certified organic all natural skin care. They have a skin care system for four different skin types, including oily skin and an acne product that works very well according to my daughter. They go into detail on the website about how to use the products and get the most benefit.
